Adversity: Collapsing unconscious and in a coma for 3 days; surgery and diagnosis of a mid-brain tumor at 18

Disappointment: Not only would he never play sports again, his life would never be the same again.

Urgency: Given 15 months to live.

Struggle: Facing a mid-life crisis "Where to go from here?"

Frustration: Trying to find answers that just aren't available through traditional learning.

And ultimately, the Discovery:

Life is not an accident! There is a purpose, there are rules, there is a system and game plan in place. Taking the same discipline, focus and training principles that he learned as an athlete, Jay became a Student of Life.
