One of my favorites:

‎"Why should there be hunger and deprivation in any land, in any city, at any table, when man has the resources and the scientific know-how to provide all mankind with the basic necessities of life?" ~Martin Luther King Jr.

Its basic living together in in a civilized world !!!!!

The man had many great speeches & they all are dear to our hearts , and we all can relate to most of them .

There is no need for any war , lets live together  as humans !!!

This is such a great answer.

"He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it."
— Martin Luther King Jr.

Could you possibly post this  as a comment on my you tube video

Target, and many other stores, pass the buck to their "vendors". If people are exploited making the product, it's the "vendors." Maybe it is...because there are too many to control. But we could change that. I certainly could design and find profitable ways to make these inspiring products available at an affodable price (lots cheaper than litigation). This time they stole this quote of mine "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...It's about learning to dance in the rain."

Another great one.. thank you, Linda!

Being an activist for affordable healthcare, my favorite quote of my old friend Martin is: "Of all forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane!" This same quote is themed with Physicians for a National Health Program, www.pnhp.org.
I also like the other quotes very much, that from Yaron and Peggy

"People fail to get along with each other because they fear each other.

They fear each other because they don't know each other.

They don't know each other because they have not properly communicated with each other."

My favorite MLK Jr quotes are the ones I will post tomorrow, on his day, on my blog, http://engagingpeace.com :

strive for peace.

Of protest, he said, “There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest.” (Watch this video.)

Of war, he said, "The chain reaction of evil -- wars producing more wars -- must be broken, or we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation."

Of peace, he said, “Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal.”

"In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends".

A nation that continues to spend more on military spending than social programs is approaching spiritual death.
